Auto Launch stuck after WL-3.3.2

Users who used Auto Launch prior WL-3.3.2 will most likely experience the app launching on system login, even when the setting is disabled. This article will guide you to fix this issue.

Windows Fix

  1. Press Win+R to access the Windows Run menu.
  2. Enter regedit in the input field to open up Registry Editor
  3. Navigate via the menu on the left side to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
  4. A Weblaunch Entry should appear as one of the entries in the folder.
  5. Right click on the Weblaunch entry and click Delete.
  6. The issue should now be fixed.

macOS Fix

  1. Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Automatically open apps when they are installed.
  2. Open Users and Groups and select your user, then Login Items.
  3. If Weblaunch is listed, select the entry and remove it with the - button.

Linux

Why do I have to do this myself?

WL-3.3.2 changed the auto launch behavior to be more native. As a result, the previous auto launch method had to be disabled, which users have to do themselves. We apologize if unwanted auto launches has bothered anyone, and we will learn from this mistake in the future.
